Richard Gere's latest film 'Arbitrage' sees the Hollywood heart throb play a multi-millionaire hedge fund manager. But even Gere's star quality can't detract from the fact that hedge funds are as relevant to investing as Hollywood is to real life, and few, if any them make any money for the investors whose money they play with - as Gere himself admitted in a Radio 5 Live interview recently.
